I, too, am of the opinion that louder-than-stock exhaust systems may just save my butt. All of the metric bikes are just to quiet for me as manufactured. I went for the Supertrapp, first with only 5 disks in, and now all 8. Only at full throttle is it obnoxious, and I don't do that with any regularity, and it has greatly decreased those nasty decelleration backfires that the stock system makes.
